A popular ice cream flavor across Japan, green tea ice cream is made with Matcha (an umami-rich, finely-milled green tea powder with notes of fresh grass and a lingering sweetness). The relaxing qualities of lavender here combine with the L Theanine in Matcha to induce a calm, focused mental state.
You will need:
2 cups of vanilla ice cream
2 Tablespoons of Firepot Amai Matcha
6 drops of lavender essential oil
2 teaspoons of fresh lavender flowers removed from the stalk (optional)
Allow 2 cups of vanilla ice cream to partially thaw (about 20 minutes)
Add 2 Tablespoons of Firepot Amai Matcha, 6 drops of lavender essential oil and lavender flowers, if using.
Stir well and then place ice cream in a freeze-proof container and freeze for 3-4 hours.
